This Giving Tuesday, help MSF reach our $10,000 goal to spread smiles that last all year, supporting children through the Molly Smiles Grant Program, GMCH Dream Playground, and more.

GMCH Dream Playground:

Play is more than fun—it’s healing. It restores a sense of childhood, strengthens family bonds, and creates moments of joy. By designing for inclusion, we’re ensuring that children of all abilities can swing, rock, spin, rest, and laugh side by side. MSF is proud to support the GMCH Dream Playground by funding two playground components:

  • Babel Drum: A soothing instrument for music therapy and relaxation, easy to play with six melodic notes.
  • Accessible Flower Boxes & Planters: Encouraging sensory play and tactile engagement for all children.

MSF Smile Bags for George Mark Children's House Patients:

This Giving Tuesday, we’re spreading smiles through our Smile Bags for George Mark Children's House patients! Each bag includes cozy and sensory-friendly items like Squishmallows, star projectors, and liquid motion bubblers, small comforts that make a big difference.

Molly Smiles Grant Program:

Now entering its third year, this program provides direct financial support to families of children with developmental, intellectual, and physical disabilities. MSF grants help cover costs such as intensive therapies, insurance copays, and specialized equipment. These grants relieve financial strain, allowing parents to focus on their child’s well-being rather than the mounting costs of care. To date, MSF has awarded 12 grants, totaling $10,000, to children supporting their individual needs. The next grant cycle launches in 2026, expanding our reach to even more deserving families.

Mrs. Sandra's Preschool Class Projects:

Molly’s preschool teacher at Live Oak Elementary, teaches young children with special needs through play-based learning that helps them grow, communicate, and connect. Mrs. Sandra now has two DonorsChoose classroom projects:

  • Sensory Supports for TK: Help fund a bubble tube, wiggle seats, lap pads, and more, to help support sensory regulation and focus in the classroom.
  • Adapted and Adorable Toys for TK: Help give students the opportunity to communicate a choice between these two adorable and easy to activate toys.

Molly Smiles Foundation

Established in 2023, was created in loving memory of Molly. MSF is dedicated to supporting special needs children and their families as they navigate caring for their child.

Molly was diagnosed with rare chromosomal abnormality, Angelma syndrome, in 2019. Common symptoms of Angelman syndrome involve significant developmental delays, seizures, sleep disturbances, and lack of speech.  A prominent characteristic of people with Angelman syndrome is happiness and plenty of smiles. Molly's family worked with multiple agencies to get Molly all the support and services possible, over time Molly was making amazing progress when she unexpectedly passed away in her sleep in November of 2022.

Molly and her family were fortunate to be connected with George Mark Children House, a vital resource during Molly's life as well as providing support during Molly's family's bereavement.

MSF’s mission to spread smiles in Molly’s memory has led to donating over $50,000 to GMCH, awarding 12 children with Molly Smiles Grants, raising funds for an accessible playground addition at Molly’s preschool, and so much more.

It’s #GivingTuesday season!

Your gift on Giving Tuesday will help support the causes and goals of our organization.

What is Giving Tuesday?

GivingTuesday began in 2012 and is a special day dedicated to giving back to the causes meaningful to you. Each year, on the Tuesday following US Thanksgiving, people all over the world come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity by volunteering and donating.

You can be a part of our GivingTuesday campaign by joining your family, community or organization to come together to contribute. Then share with everyone you know that you celebrated #GivingTuesday and how they can pay it forward to bring more good into the world!
